Mourning Picture Locket

Presented is a mourning locket created by Mary Elaine of Soul Heirs. These lockets are especially made to hold a picture of that special loved one held so dear to one's heart and soul. Locket will accommodate a picture or lock of hair on side. One may place two pictures. Locket hangs on a swivel bale that opens by unscrewing the bead viewed at the top of the locket. Upon unscrewing the bead, the locket flips down on a hinge to expose the inside. The inside surfaces of the glass are flat and the outside ones are domed. The glass itself is a subtle antique green of the old world style. The bezel around the glass has a scalloped edge. All metal in this locket is comprised of 925 - sterling silver. I have attached a black satin cord with a sterling spring ring clasp. Locket measures approximately 1 1/4" in height and just less than 1" in width - not including the clasp measuring approximately 3/4" in height. Satin cord measures 24" inches (12" on the neck). Upon request, cord length can be made to your specification. My own feeling is that the satin cord gives the locket a magnificent elegance - relative to the Victorian Era. These lockets are future heirlooms for a loved one to pass down the tradition of remembrance. Please see other pictures.
