Soul Heirs - Store Policies

All items are a Quantity of One
Unless otherwise stated, I carry only one (1) of each unique item displayed on this web site, unless otherwise stated. PayPal's shopping cart will allow for the entrance of a quantity greater than one (1) for each unique item so buyer should be aware of this. Corrections can be made in the PayPal shopping cart prior to checkout - just remember to "update cart" in the check out screen. Should buyer accidentally submit payment for multiples of the same piece, Soul Heirs will issue a cash refund through PayPal back to Buyer's PayPal account for the amount overpaid.

Payment
Payment is due in advance prior to shipment of order. Payment is PayPal® preferred, a global electronic payment platform that operates in conjunction with bank accounts and credit cards world wide. PayPal is now in the EBay family of corporate ownership. The buyer will not be assessed a user fee from PayPal for any purchases made from Soul Heirs unless buyer has a PayPal Seller account. PayPal is a secure, locked web site that does not share your credit card or bank account information with Soul Heirs or any other party, only a confirmation email to seller that an item has been purchased, by whom including shipping address, and if any specific instruction to the Seller. Upon clicking “Check out” in the shopping cart screen, you will be brought to the secure PayPal payment screen. Should you not have a PayPal account, it is easy to sign up - you will be instructed upon checkout. Recently, PayPal adopted a new policy that buyer does not have to open a PayPal account yet Buyer may purchase using the the PayPal shopping cart offered on this site. Upon receipt of confirmation from PayPal, Soul Heirs will email Buyer that purchase and payment was received and inform Buyer of shipment of purchase.

Alternative to PayPal: Soul Heirs will accept U.S. Postal Money Orders as an alternative to PayPal. Upon receipt of money order, item will be shipped within two (2) business days. Should you elect to send a money order, please do not use check-out cart, simply email Mary Elaine at Soul Heirs with all information including name, address, item number and/or any other information you may feel is relevant to your purchase. I will email you an invoice and confirmation of intent to purchase. Please, I cannot stress this enough, when a customer chooses this payment alternative (U.S. Postal Money Order), Soul Heirs will place item on "hold" on my web site, disabling anyone else from purchasing said item. I honor the customer's intention of purchase. Thank you for your cooperation.

Insurance I highly advise insuring your return for the amount of purchase. Soul Heirs will reimburse Buyer only if item was not as described. Should item be returned to Soul Heirs and item is missing (item not in return package) or damaged, Soul Heirs will not issue a refund. It is up to the Buyer to file an insurance claim. Insurance is usually $ 1.30 up to and including $50.00 worth of insurance. Upon satisfactory inspection of item returned, Soul Heirs will Pay Pal a refund to Buyer's account. Buyer is responsible for return shipping unless there is unforeseen damage to purchase at which time Soul Heirs will pick up the return shipping cost.

Sales Tax
All Massachusetts state residents must pay a five percent (5%) sales tax on items purchased. This is a Massachusetts state law.

Domestic Shipping (U.S. and Territories)
Due to the rising cost of shipping, all orders are a assessed a $ 4.60 shipping rate for U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail for items shipped inside the United States boundaries and territories. Items usually take approximately 2-3 business days after being shipped to reach you, the buyer. I typically ship items out within 2-3 days of receipt of payment. I now mail everything (domestic) with a "U.S. Postal Service Delivery Confirmation Receipt" at no additional charge to my customer which allows for the tracking of your purchase. This will help you, my customer to feel comfortable with your buying experience with Soul Heirs. In the past, Soul Heirs insured items priced at $30.00 or greater. Due to a dramatic increase in the cost of doing business, Soul Heirs can no longer offer this benifit. I highly recommend insurance as Soul Heirs will not be held responsible for lost or damaged orders unless it is deemed the fault of Soul Heirs. Should Buyer choose to insure item, the cost is $1.35 for the first .01 to $50.00, $2.30 for $51.00 to $100.00 etc.. For any greater insurance, please inquire. Customer will need to add this amount in your PayPal check out process in field provided by Pay Pal for this coverage. No handling fee is ever incurred by Buyer. International Shipping (outside U.S. and Territories) - revised 1/4/05
Please, International shipping is at the discretion of Soul Heirs. Please email Soul Heirs prior to check-out at Pay Pal cart to discuss shipping and feasibility of destination country and what type of shipping Buyer prefers. Shipping internationally may increase the cost dramatically depending on the type used. All details of shipping will be agreed upon by Buyer and Seller prior to purchase. Due to miscommunications I will now send Buyer an agreement between Buyer and Seller (Soul Heirs) to release Soul Heirs form refunds in the event of loss or breakage should Buyer not purchase special services for destination country. Not all countries allow for "Recorded Deliver Receipt" so Buyer should demand registered mail or Global Priority. U.S. Priority Mail is not an option for International customers. Typically, I mail "Air Letter Post" to Canada and Europe - at a cost of approximately $ 4.00 U.S. Dollars depending on the weight of item. Air Letter Post does not include tracking or insurance so I highly recommend that buyer purchase extra shipping options to ensure that Buyer's item is covered. Again, Soul Heirs will not be responsible for items shipped internationally without tracking and insurance. Soul Heirs advises the use of Global Priority offered through the U.S. Postal System. Packaging
All items are carefully wrapped in tissue and placed in a Soul Heirs gift box. Box includes ziploc jewelry liner and is suitable for gift-giving. Gift box to be bubble wrapped (or similar padding) and placed inside a U.S. Priority Mail corrugated shipping box to prevent movement and to ensure further protection. A sales slip will accompany your order listing details of purchase. Note: Should item be a gift, please advise Soul Heirs and I will mail the sales slip to actual Buyer.

Returns and Refunds
Items may be returned within seven (7) business days of receipt of merchandise. Should there be circumstances that limit Buyer from returning purchase within the 7 business day return policy, please email Mary Elaine as Soul Heirs really tries to accommodate the buyer - within reason. Items will only be accepted by seller in the condition that the item was shipped meaning: no acid testing, modifications of any and all parts, no cleaning, no missing parts (sets/chains) by buyer.

Gifts
Should your purchase be a gift to another, and is going to be sent to an alternative address (not the Buyer's) , and/or is a surprise gift, please inform Mary Elaine through email to communicate this information! This way I can "omit" any pricing for the receipt and include a note. Currently, I do not do engraving on any items offered for sale at Soul Heirs. Should buyer want to include a special note with gift, please advise Soul Heirs, I am truly a romantic at heart and I myself LOVE surprises! I can always pick up a gift card for a small fee - usually at no cost for special occasions.

Satisfaction
Above all policies, my primary goal is to ensure customer satisfaction and to provide you, the buyer, with a site you can trust. Should I misrepresent a piece in any way, please accept my apologies, as it is not my intention. The study and understanding of jewelry is a life-long journey of research and learning. All pictures are taken with a "Nikon Coolpix 995" digital camera . As one can see, most items depict more detail than the human eye may see. This is a precision camera as my goal is to submit pictures true to the piece one is viewing. In no way do I ever edit flaws, colors or any defect present in my inventory. Should a customer want to view more pictures of a particular item either at a closer detailed view or different angle, please email Mary Elaine and I will launch more pictures as a "click here" for more pictures.

Just a final note...Mission Statement
I would like to thank you for your order and browsing my web site. It is my pledge to my customers to continue my jewelry education to enable the buyer to make educated purchases.
