Mayan Sun God Pendant & Leather Cord

Presented, is a gold-toned pendant I believe to be from the 60's. This pendant is non-magnetic and could be electroplated. Originally, this disk had five planets (?) however two were missing when I purchased it. The original chain was also broken. I could not resist this wonderful piece so I decided to recreate it. I placed two green glass beads with flower imprints (flower power) and red glass beads to dangle above and below replacing the disks that were missing. I feel the incorporation of color makes this pendant more exciting. As I have been down to the Mayan Riviera to visit the pyramids of Chezen Itza, during my wonderings of the site, I noticed skulls on everything. I see a skull at the face of this sun! It could be of Mayan, Aztec or Incan origin. Measurements as follows: main disk (the sun) is 2 3/4" in diameter and the total height with hanging disk is 5". Condition is excellent. The new cord is brown leather with a spring ring clasp and measures 25" in length. Total hang length is 17 1/2" - not considering the neck take-up.
