Enameled Copper Earrings and Brooch

Presented above is a matching set that includes screw-back earrings and brooch. The enamel is black with sky blue flowers, abstract in style. This set appears to be hand crafted. The back sides of these pieces are shellacked to protect the copper from oxidation as were so many older pieces. Age is unknown, perhaps 40's/50's. The brooch has a dress or fur clip on the back made of brass and measures approximately 1 1/4" in height and width. Earrings measure 1" in diameter. Enamel is in excellent condition. This set is unmarked as so many of these old enameled copper pieces. Would make a nice addition to that enamel collection. |
