Portrait Cameo Brooch/Pendant
Presented is an unmarked cameo portrait that can be worn as a brooch and has a loop to accommodate a cord. Bezel is goldtone and the portrait is a transfer with a dome over this. I purchased this piece from a seller who said it was from the Victorian era, but I am not so sure of this. I believe the dome is a resin material. The portrait itself is prong set from the rear of cameo. This cameo is very similar in look and craftsmanship to Florenza jewelry, perhaps an unmarked piece from early years. The condition of the metal is excellent. Pin stem and safety catch in good working order. Cameo measures approximately 1 3/4" in height by 1 1/2" in width. |
