Mother Of Pearl Leaf Mother's Pin
This pin is circa 1940's or older and falls into the category of "Sweetheart" jewelry - sentimental tokens of love given in times of war in remembrance of a loved one. Presented, is a lovely mother of pearl leaf pin with the word Mother written in cursive across the pin. The carved veins and serrated edges add to its beauty. This pin has a prong set red rhinestone which sits on a goldtone twisted loop wire underneath the writing. There is a slight fleabite chip one facet of the stone but it is only detectable through a jeweler's loupe. Other than that, this pin is in very good condition. The pin stem on the back has a c-clasp closing. Pin measures approximate 2" in width by 1" in height. Truly a piece to treasure. |
