Amber Sailboat Brooch
This sailboat brooch is of butterscotch and cognac amber and appears to be from the Baltic States. It is signed with A "Russian" mark however it is very hard to identify. Looks like a backwards R beside two zeros, then a backwards 3. I have researched this mark but I am unable to locate it. Sailboat measures 1.5" from top of sail to hull, and from bow to stern is 1" in width - the hull is complete in dimension and the rear of the sail is mounted on a gold colored plate with a C clasp. I do not know what the metal is but it is non magnetic. A rare find in excellent conditon. |
